Gate Meeting to Protest Against the Recoveries

Around 300 staff of AIR and DD gathered under different banner of ADP3, ARTEE and PSA to express the protest against the recoveries as per the decision of the Hon’ble Ministry of I & B. Shri Umesh Misra, President, ADP3, alongwith other leaders of ARTEE and PSA met the Hon’ble Minister of I&B, Sh. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore yesterday. Hon'ble Minister has given assurance that he will invest an insight into the matter.

The leaders of all three Associations met in the Akashwani Bhawan to decide the strategy and headed to meet the Hon’ble Minister. In the Ministry, we were asked to meet Joint Secretary, B-II and take an update. The issue was discussed with J.S.(B-2). The Hon’ble MOS met us and took the update and called J.S.(B-2) and clearly told him to handle the issue in the spirit of favouring the employee side. We suggested that till the issue is decided the Recoveries may be kept in Abeyance. The Hon’ble MOS assured and asked J.S.(B-2) to work in this direction.

Sir,

         As you are aware, after long 30 yrs. the programme professionals of DD got a ray of hope after issuing an order of in-situ promotion towards the eligible TREXs and Production Assistants / Floor Managers / Property Assistants of Doordarshan.

         This is very much unfortunate that AIR Directorate has issued an order for convening of DPC for regular & ad-hoc promotion in the grade of Programme Executive from its feeder cadres wherein the list of TREXs has been attached ignoring all the Production Assistants / Floor Managers / Property Assistants of Doordarshan. There is no mention of PEX (in-situ) against TREXs though they have been promoted as PEX (in-situ) like the Production Assistants / Floor Managers / Property Assistants of Doordarshan.

         The above order under reference is signed by Dr. Kamalesh Kumar, DDA of AIR Dte. who has also issued the order of in-situ promotion towards the eligible TREXs and Production Assistants / Floor Managers / Property Assistants. Issuance of this in-situ order of promotion clearly specifies AIR Dte as the cadre controlling authority of the Production Assistants / Floor Managers / Property Assistants of Doordarshan though in the present case this issue has not been taken care of.

It is requested to your good self to incorporate the list of Production Assistants / Floor Managers / Property Assistants of Doordarshan for convening of DPC for regular & ad-hoc promotion in the grade of Programme Executive from its feeder cadres.

Update on Recovery, due to 25.2.1999 Scales as One Up-gradation in MACP as on 06-01-2015

As you are aware, ADP3 HQ has given utmost importance to this issue. BMS Office Bearers has arranged a meeting with Sh. Rajyabardhan Singh Rathore, Hon’ble Minister of State, I&B. With their influence a detailed meeting was arranged yesterday in the Ministry of I&B. After a sincere hearing, the Hon’ble Minister expressed his concern that such recovery should not take place. He asked Sh. Puneet Kansal, Joint Secy. to discuss the issue with us and asked his OSD, Sh. M. Nanda Kishore Reddy to arrange a meeting with JS (B2). He asked us also to give feedback to him after the Meeting with JS (B2).

We explained him in detail the issue and also informed that in case of any adverse recommendation from DOPT, we have no other option except to go on Agitation. He was also conveyed about our proposed Gate Meeting on 16^th Jan 2015. The Hon’ble MOS assured to adopt a positive approach to the issue.
